Twitter is a blockchain in waiting
It will take time to fully conceptualize the genius of Elon Musk who has the canny ability to place himself in the right place at the right time. Roll on to the 2020’s and the introduction of Web3 technologies is about to set a ng-precedent. The people are to be provided powerful accountability tools to hold democracy accountable, whilst promoting anonymously key-verifiable open discussion

Twitter is not a Blockchain
It is clear Twitter currently is not a blockchain, it is a social media platform that has fostered free expression at the cost of being lambasted as a bastion of hatred
The simple of premise of Twitter can once again be used to be a disruptive era defining service by combining large number of users from developed societies with the ability to use encryption to verify digital sovereignty
Twitter has all the constituent parts required to make Web3 technologies accessible to all people, this position is what makes Elon’s $44bn gamble such a revelation
Perfect Repetition: Immutability
Twitter currently allows for anyone to speak and access wide audiences, being available to all internet users and it’s not over complex structure makes it a perfect candidate for blockchain adoption. To make some of it’s thread immutable means they cannot be deleted and can be linked to a person or organisation that said them. The verification system is built into the structure of Twitter web3.0
Structured Electioneering
When used for political engineering the above structure would allow for political bodies, lobbies, organizations, news outlets and media providers to provide content and people know based on it’s creation who provided that information. The verification of the person through the structure of the platform removes a centralized authority. A group can create a chain and set a number of contributor keys and a period of time before more keys can be issued on the chain. At the start of a Government entering office they can issue the six hundred or so keys for each sitting member of parliament, secondary keys can be added with it logging re-issue, pending review and validation before being made immutable
Two Paid Tiers For Subscribers
Creator Costs
There is a computation cost associated with maintaining and adding blocks to the chains, there would be a two tiered cost system: with creators of chained content paying a premium for the required computational using an efficient blockchain would reduce overall cost
Verified Keys
A second tier added for people to join the conversation at a reasonable monthly cost, which is made widely available through subscription based benefit system, for example packaged bank accounts or can be provided and managed by trusted providers and their physical devices
Anonymously Verified Oxymoronism
There is also the option to pay for this anonymously and still have an anonymous account which can speak freely on the platform but ultimately would be able to add to the blockchain in it’s immutable form. This would allow for chains of free expression and these are monitored by AI language parsing and summarising the contents of the room, there is nothing hidden in this process and people can moderate and submit for removal or public review
Anonymous Chain AI Parsing
All images in anonymous chats are also scanned, with paid tiers allowed to post without scanning but linked to their public key. This is to maintain the integrity of the service. If people didn’t know All the main social media platforms currently distribute extreme harmful content

Utilising blockchain technology does have limitations based on privacy settings, for example the consequence of remaining anonymous is not permanently adding to the conversation initially, the key used to create an anonymous account can build a reputation and validate itself to appear on-chain over time, adding notes and markers during account setup, the key acting as an ephemeral profile page
Keeping Twitter OG
Keeping Twitter based on original premise is also important, with the platform evolving to a web3 way of working, timelines become blockchains and hashtags are included on chain, for immutable logging of qualitative meta data
Using community reviewed open source technologies people can see what parameters are used for how historical data is stored and if it’s made public, private or all identifiers redacted
